Mumbai: A police official said on Sunday that a written complaint has been filed against social media influencer Urfi Javed for allegedly wearing scanty dresses and committing obscene acts in public and on social media.
Lawyer Ali Kashif Khan Deshmukh submitted a written application to the Andheri police station
Urfi Javed, a famous “Bigg Boss OTT” contestant, is well known for her unconventional fashion choices. Her striking outfits regularly capture people’s interest. She keeps experimenting with her attire by draping it with ropes, wires, stones, shattered glasses, or petals from flowers.
Urfi had already encountered legal issues as a result of her provocative attire in the song Haye Haye Yeh Majboori. She was seen falling from the swing in a behind-the-scenes video that Urfi had previously released. After seeing the video, many users condemned her attire, and one person lodged a complaint for “posting or sending content involving sexually explicit behaviours in electronic form.”
The actress has been in the news for her brutal altercation with Chetan Bhagat, not just because of the legal dispute. Bhagat recently made a remark about Urfi Javed’s clothing that reportedly destroys masculine peace of mind, and the writer got into a heated debate with her about it.
Urfi responded to him angrily by exposing his leaked WhatsApp conversations from the #MeToo movement. The author felt compelled to provide clarity in response to this, so he tweeted, “Have never spoken to, chatted with, met, or known someone where it’s being reported.”
