Uttarkashi: Uttarakhand Weather: About 350 sheep and goats died due to lightning accompanied by heavy rains in the Dunda area on Saturday late evening. The incident is of Khatukhal area of ​​Dunda block.

Sanjeev Rawat, a resident of Barsu village of Bhatwadi block, was bringing his sheep and goats from Rishikesh towards Uttarkashi. Around 350 goats have died due to lightning in the middle (forest) of Khattu Khal village amid heavy rain late in the evening.

Bhatwadi block chief Vinita Rawat said that the incident took place near Khattu Khal village, in which the biggest animal loss has taken place. Tehsildar Pratap Singh Chauhan said that this incident happened at Mathna Tok near Khatukhal.

On Sunday morning, the revenue team along with the team of veterinarians will go to the spot, about 350 goats have been reported to have died due to lightning.

The sequence of snowfall and rain in Uttarakhand continued on Saturday as well. It had been raining since Friday night. There was snowfall in the Himalayan peaks on Saturday. The Kailas Mansarovar Yatra route in Pithoragarh has been closed due to snowfall. The temperature has dropped.

According to Bikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Centre, light rain and snowfall may continue in the state for the next few days. The Meteorological Center has issued a yellow alert regarding hailstorm.

The continuous change in the weather is affecting the health of the common man. Crowd of patients is also seen in private clinics including base hospital. Due to fluctuating weather, the number of patients suffering from high fever, cold and flu is quite high.

Kotdwar region has been witnessing huge fluctuations in the weather since last one week. Where the temperature in the region had reached 32 degrees Celsius till a week ago, after the rains, the temperature dropped to 23 degrees. After this the mercury rose again and at present the temperature is reaching 29 degrees.

Due to this ups and downs of the weather, the outbreak of diseases is also increasing rapidly. These days the number of fever patients is very high in the hospitals. Dr. Harendra Kumar, Pediatrician of Base Hospital, says that along with treatment, more attention needs to be paid to prevention of the common man.

Said that simple food should be consumed in the changing season. Especially the consumption of cold things has to be avoided. Also, water needs to be boiled and drunk. Told that it is also very important to avoid going to crowded places on the complaint of having a cough.
