Lucknow: During a recent law and order review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the performance of various regions in the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) was discussed. The findings revealed that Bareilly and Lucknow were among the 10 worst-performing areas, while Aligarh and Shravasti were among the top 10 performers.
Furthermore, the assessment extended to police stations, with Prayagraj having three of its police stations ranked among the 10 worst performers, while Hardoi district boasted five police stations among the top 10 performers in the state.
According to a senior police official, the 10 worst-performing districts, in order, are Bareilly, Lucknow, Fatehpur, Jhansi, Ayodhya, Etah, Hapur, Azamgarh, Sant Kabir Nagar, and Mirzapur. Conversely, the 10 best-performing districts are Aligarh, Shravasti, Sonbhadra, Hamirpur, Kushinagar, Farrukhabad, Kasganj, Chitrakoot, Bhadohi, and Hathras.
Regarding police stations, the 10 worst performers include Khejuri and Maniyar police stations in Ballia, Mahila Thana in Rae Bareli, Jalapur police station in Jaunpur, Kudarkot in Auraiya, Junwai in Sambhal, Kareli, Ghoorpur, and Kydganj police stations in Prayagraj, and Erwakatra in Auraiya.
On the other hand, the 10 best-performing police stations comprise City Kotwali in Hardoi, City Kotwali in Lakhimpur Kheri, Dehat Kotwali in Hardoi, City Kotwali in Unnao, Pihani police station in Hardoi, City Kotwali in Barabanki, Dehat Kotwali in Bahraich, Bilgram police station in Hardoi, Fakharpur police station in Bahraich, and Shahabad police station in Hardoi.
These findings highlight variations in the performance of different regions and police stations in addressing grievances through the Integrated Grievance Redressal System.
