Begum Haider, mother of SP’s national spokesperson Abbas Haider and his wife Uzma Haider have passed away in this accident. After the rescue, both were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. Doctors in the hospital declared her dead.
According to the information received, the mother of the SP leader was pulled out of the debris after 16 hours and the wife after 17 hours. Seeing the critical condition of both, they were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. But both of them died.
The death of both has created chaos in the family. According to the information received, the dead bodies of both are being taken for the last rites after getting the panchnama done. According to the information received so far, 14 people have been saved alive in this accident. NDRF and police are carrying out relief and rescue operations.
An FIR was registered on Wednesday against the builder of Alaya Apartments under IPC sections 323 (voluntary causing hurt), 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide), 420 (fraud), 120B (criminal conspiracy) and section 7 of the Criminal Law Amendment Act. The FIR was registered against Mohammad Tariq, Nawajish Shahid and Fahad Yazdani at Hazratganj police station, officials said here. Police arrested Nawajish Shahid on Wednesday.
SP leader’s son arrested
According to a report from Meerut, Nawazish, the son of former minister and SP MLA Shahid Manzoor, has been detained by police for questioning in relation to the collapse of the five-storey Alaya Apartment. Rohit Singh Sajwan, the SSP for Meerut, reported that Nawazish had been brought to Lucknow for questioning.
Personnel of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are engaged in the rescue work, while senior officials are overseeing the operation. The rescue work is going on continuously. Twelve companies each of the NDRF and the SDRF are engaged in rescue work and four companies of PAC have also been deployed. The Army was also involved in the rescue operations.
Investigation committee constituted on the order of CM
After the demolition of Alaya Apartment, Lucknow Divisional Commissioner Dr. Roshan Jacob ordered to mark other buildings constructed by Yazdan builders in Lucknow city. Along with this, on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a three-member inquiry committee has been constituted, in which Commissioner Roshan Jacob, Joint Commissioner of Police Piyush Mordia and Chief Engineer PWD will be there. This committee will identify the people responsible for this accident and submit its report within a week.
