Lucknow’s Divisional Commissioner, Roshan Jacob, has swiftly responded by ordering a report from the Public Works Department within 24 hours. Immediate instructions have been issued to repair the road, addressing the safety concerns posed by the sinkhole.

The unfortunate event unfolded amid heavy rain and hailstorms that swept through parts of Uttar Pradesh, leading to four fatalities in separate lightning strike incidents. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed district magistrates to promptly provide financial assistance to affected individuals, covering cases of livestock loss and damage to houses caused by lightning, hailstorms, heavy rain, and storms.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the challenges posed by adverse weather conditions and the need for proactive measures to ensure public safety.
