Lucknow: The old city of Lucknow is all set for a much needed makeover with LDA’s new project to launch a multilevel robotic parking in the Chowk area.
Being built on the land provided by the fire fighting department, this facility will change the parking system into a completely automatic process with magnetic cards, as per reports.
Reportedly, the parking complex will also come with the advantage of being used for 30 years at a minimal price. Given the low cost of construction, the facility can house a set of 32 vehicles in an expected amount of ₹6 lakhs. As suggested by the design drafts, the project is using the most efficient technology with prospects of encapsulating more vehicles in lesser space.
In this Robotic Parking facility, drivers would drive the car into an APS entry (transfer) area and leave their vehicles at a designated spot. The driver would then be taken to an empty space automatically. The driver would retrieve his vehicle by inserting the magnetic cards or code into an automated terminal offered by the facility. The car would be lift by the APS from its parking space and deliver it to an exit area. It is to be noted that censors would indicate the availability of spots in the complex. Equipped with the means of power regeneration, the new parking complex is assuring coherent use of energy.
This high-tech robotic parking will not only enable parking of hundreds of cars in half the area of a conventional ramp-style garage, but will also bring a sigh of relief to the residents of the nearby areas including the Chowk Stadium, Clock Tower, Rumi Gate, Teele Wali Masjid, Bada Imambada, KGMU, Buddha Park, Hathi Park and Atal Bihari Convention Centre, as well.
With this cutting edge technology, residents of old Lucknow will surely get some relief from the traffic problem as this upgraded amenity is expected to efficiently solve encroachment in the region.
