Lucknow: The Lucknow University is all set to begin its undergraduate admissions process from March 9 for the academic session 2021-2022. It is for the very first time that the varsity has to appoint a team to head the admission process.
To head the team, Chemistry department’s prof VK Sharma has been appointed as the dean admission. Also, prof Anoop Kumar Bhartiya from the social work department, Prof Anitya Gaurav from the ancient Indian history department and assistant professor Sanjay Medhavi, have been appointed as the additional admission coordinator.
Professor VK Sharma, in the capacity of dean will hold an admission meeting with the other team members on Tuesday. “At first we will be collecting data — the number of courses offered and seats in every department. Also, our priority will be to complete the PhD admission of the last academic session, for which we will be taking the seat status from all the departments,” said prof Sharma adding that the admission process will be done online and a detailed plan will be chalked out in Tuesday meeting.
“At present we are a team of four — a dean, a coordinator and three additional admission coordinators. Soon, more members will be added to the team for the smooth conduct of flawless online admissions,” Prof Sharma further added.
