New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday congratulated the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on the successful launch of its heaviest rocket with 36 broadband satellites. PM Modi said that this is an example of self-reliance and enhances India's competitive edge in the global commercial market.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday congratulated the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on the successful launch of its heaviest rocket with 36 broadband satellites. PM Modi said that this is an example of self-reliance and enhances India’s competitive edge in the global commercial market.

PM Modi said that congratulations to NSIL, IN-Space, ISRO for the successful launch of our heaviest launch vehicle LVM3, which has 36 broadband satellites for global connectivity. LVM3 is an example of self-reliance and enhances India’s competitive edge in the global commercial launch services market.

“Congratulations to NSIL, In-Space, ISRO on the successful launch of our heaviest launch vehicle LVM3 with 36 OneWeb satellites built for global connectivity,” PM Modi said in a tweet. Let us inform that ISRO launched 36 communication satellites in its heaviest rocket from Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh at 12:07 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

ISRO Chairman S Somanatha performed a special puja at Sri Chengalamma Parameshwari Devi Temple at Sullurpeta in Tirupati district on Saturday morning to mark the success of the GSLV Mark-III rocket launch. He had told on Saturday evening that ISRO’s rocket LVM3 will carry 36 satellites of a private communication firm OneWeb. He said another set of 36 broadband satellites would be launched by LVM3 in the first half of next year.

We have already started (Diwali) celebrations, ISRO chairman said. 16 of the 36 satellites have successfully separated safely, and the remaining 20 satellites will be separated. The data will come after a while and observation is going on.
