Indore: Police on Monday registered a case against a 23-year-old youth for endangering his life and that of others by performing stunts in an expensive car on a busy road in Indore. The police informed about this. The video of this recent incident has already been circulated on social media. In the video, the car driver is suddenly seen dangerously “drifting” (turning the car repeatedly at the same place at a high speed) at night on a busy road in Lasudia area.

Subedar (sub-inspector-level officer) of the traffic police, Kazim Hussain Rizvi, said that stunt driver Nirmit Jaiswal (23) has been booked under section 279 of the Indian Penal Code (rash driving on a public road) and relevant sections of the Motor Vehicles Act. A case has been registered under the provisions. He told that the car used in the stunt has been seized.

Rizvi told that this action has been taken on the basis of investigation of the video sent by a responsible citizen to the traffic police. He told that on the basis of the letter of the traffic police, the transport department has suspended Jaiswal’s driving license for three months.

Rizvi said, “The manner in which the accused was performing a stunt of drifting with a car on a busy road, there was every danger of a horrific accident. In the event of an accident, not only the car driver’s life, but also the lives of other people could be in danger.
