Five individuals lost their lives when the high-speed car they were riding in collided with a tree along the national highway in Madhya Pradesh's Umaria district.
Madhya Pradesh: In the early hours of Monday, a tragic accident occurred in Madhya Pradesh’s Umaria district when a speeding car collided with a tree along National Highway 43, resulting in the loss of five lives, according to authorities.
The incident unfolded near Majhgava village within the jurisdiction of Ghunghuti Police Station around 3 am. The victims, all aged between 30 to 35 years, were traveling in the car from Umaria to Shahdol when the collision took place, as reported by Assistant Sub Inspector Shailendra Chaturvedi.
Upon receiving information about the accident, the police promptly arrived at the scene. Unfortunately, three passengers lost their lives immediately, while two others succumbed to their injuries en route to the hospital. It was noted that most of the deceased were government employees.
An investigation is underway, and the police have filed a case in connection with the incident.
