Ujjain: The person running a grocery shop in Palkhanda village of Narwar police station area killed his wife and hid her body in a bed box. Keeping the dead body in the box, a bed was also placed on it. On Thursday night he told his mother in a drunken state that his wife was dead. After this, the relatives informed the police. The police recovered the body at 2 o’clock in the night and took the husband into custody. Illegal relations of the accused with a woman have also come to the fore.
TI Sanjay Mandloi told that Deepabai, wife of grocery shop operator Vijay Parmar, living in Palkhanda, has been having a domestic dispute for a long time since the age of 40 years. Deepabai had also filed a case of domestic violence against her husband in Civil Line Police Station of Dewas.
Deepabai had lived in her maiden for eight years. In July 2021, he brought her to his home after compromising. Even after this he used to beat her. On Wednesday night, Vijay reached home drunk and had a fight with Deepabai again. Since then she was missing. On Thursday she told her relatives that she did not know where she had gone.
Vijay had reached home on Thursday night under the influence of alcohol. When mother Savitribai inquired about his wife Deepa, he said that she is dead. After this, the dead body was found in the bed box. On which the police was informed. Police has recovered the dead body. FSL officer Dr. Preeti Gaikwad was also called on the spot for investigation. There were marks of assault on the face of the deceased. At the same time, marks of strangulation with rope or cloth have also been found on his neck. Police recovered the dead body late night and took husband Vijay into custody.
The police have come to know in the investigation that the accused Vijay has an illegal relationship with a woman from the village itself. There used to be a dispute between the deceased Deepabai and Vijay regarding that too.
The police recovered Deepabai’s dead body from the bed-box. A mattress was kept on top of the dead body in the box, it is half burnt. It is feared that Vijay tried to burn the dead body.
Hemant, the brother of the deceased Deepabai, told the police that at around 9.30 pm on Wednesday night, his brother-in-law Vijay had called and said that he wanted a divorce from Deepa. On this Hemant asked to go to the court and disconnected the phone. Hemant alleges that his brother-in-law Vijay, mother-in-law Savitribai and father-in-law Antar Singh live in the same house. All three together have killed his sister.
