Bhopal: A huge amount of bundles of currency notes have been recovered from the house of a person in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. The recovered notes are said to be of denominations of Rs 5, 10 and 20. The number of these notes is so large that the police has not been able to count them yet. At the same time, the police seized the notes and informed the Income Tax Department about this matter.

According to the information, the police have recovered a huge amount of cash from the house of a person named Kailash Khatri in Pant Nagar Colony, Bhopal. In this case, DCP Bhopal Zone-1 Priyanka Shukla said that the accused claims that he has been doing money exchange business for the last 18 years, under which he exchanges damaged notes of Rs 5, Rs 10 and Rs 20 denominations. In exchange of damaged currency notes, he takes his commission and provides new currency notes to the customers.

The DCP further said that however, no such document has been found from the accused which would show that he was authorized to do so. So, the action is still going on. The Income Tax Department has been informed about this. At the same time, the Income Tax Department says that if the cash is more than Rs 10 lakh then they will take cognizance of it… counting is still going on.
