New Delhi: On Sunday morning, The National Center for Seismology (NCS) informed that an earthquake of 4.8 magnitude on the Richter scale hit Manipur. According to the information, the time of the earthquake was 11.42 pm on Saturday. The National Center for Seismology said that the depth of the earthquake was 94 km and occurred in 66 km East-Southeast of Moirang, Manipur.

According to the information no casualties was reported.
It is noteworthy that earlier on July 5, Assam had an earthquake of 3.7 magnitude on the Richter scale. The depth of the earthquake is 35 km. who came at 11:03 am. The National Center for Seismology (NCS) is the nodal agency of the Government of India for monitoring earthquake activity in the country.
