Maharashtra: A major incident has come to light during the Bhushan Award ceremony at Kharghar in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. 11 people died due to heatstroke during the ceremony. The condition of many of these people is critical. 24 people are undergoing treatment. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has threatened to give Rs 5 lakh to the families of the deceased. Instructions have been given for the proper treatment of the people admitted to the hospital.

The program was held from 11:30 am to 1 pm on Sunday. Many people had come to the field since Saturday. Due to the hot sun and dehydration in the field, people’s health started to deteriorate. It is being told that the government arranged for lakhs of people to sit in the ground.
Social activist Dattatreya Narayan alias Appasaheb Dharmadhikari was given the Maharashtra Bhushan Award in this event. The award was given by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and many other ministers of the government also attended the event.
