Maharashtra police arrested 8 people on the charges of gangrape. The 16-year-old girl told the police in a written complaint that the accused tortured her from the night of 16 December till 10 am on 17 December. The accused took her to a deserted bungalow at 8 pm and raped her. After that the next day he took her to the beach and abused her in the bushes.
Mumbai: Yet another shocking incident came to fore from Palghar district of Maharashtra. The police have arrested 8 people here on the charges of gang rape of a 16-year-old minor girl. Police told on Sunday that this incident of rape took place on the intervening night of 16-17 December. The accused first raped the girl in an empty bungalow and then tortured her by taking her to the beach.
The officer of Satpati Rural Police Station of Palghar district said that a case has been registered against all the accused under various sections including gangrape. The girl told the police in a written complaint that the accused tortured her from 8 pm on 16 December to 10 am on 17 December. The accused took her to a deserted bungalow in Mahim village and repeatedly raped her. After that they took him to the beach and tortured him by taking her to the bushes.
Case registered against the accused under these sections
Police said that on the basis of the complaint of the girl, all the 8 accused were arrested on Sunday morning. Police has registered a case against him under Section 376 (D), Section 366 (A), Section 341, Section 342, Section 323 and POCSO Act. The interrogation of all the accused is going on.
