Thane: A residential complex with five buildings has been completely evacuated in Dombivli area of ​​Thane district of Maharashtra. Fire brigade officials said loose slabs and broken pillars were noticed at 11 pm on Saturday, following which the fire brigade, police and civic personnel rushed to the site at Nilje. After this, the houses of about 250 families were evacuated from there. The officials will once again inspect this premises, only after that they will take further action for it. The building was built in 1998

Civic Sub Fire Officer Namdev Chowdhary said, “These buildings were built in 1998. They are not in the list of unsafe and dangerous buildings maintained by the Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation. Ward officers will think about the next course of action after a structural check is done.”

Chowdhary said that there is no report of any injury as of now and the residents who have been evacuated are looking for alternative accommodation for themselves.
