Maharashtra: 5 people killed as car-truck collision in Nashik district

Maharashtra: An official said that at least five people died after a car collided with a container truck in Maharashtra on Sunday.Police said that all the deceased were residents of Nashik city. According to the information, the incident happened on the Manmad-Yeola road in Nashik district of Maharashtra.

Maharashtra: An official said that at least five people died after a car collided with a container truck in Maharashtra on Sunday.Police said that all the deceased were residents of Nashik city.

According to the information, the incident happened on the Manmad-Yeola road in Nashik district of Maharashtra. After the accident, rescue operations were hampered due to heavy rain and darkness at Ankaibari Shivar in Nandgaon taluka, about 100 km from Nashik city.

Police said that a Swift Dzire car heading towards Yeola collided with a container truck heading towards Manmad on the Manmad-Yeola road in the evening, killing five people in the car.

According to police reports, the victims have been identified as Lalit Sonawane, Rohit Dhanwate, Aditya Dhanwate, Ganesh Sonawane and Prateek Naik, all residents of New Pandit Colony in Nashik city. After the incident, The driver of the truck has been taken into custody and an FIR is being registered.
