Maharashtra: 6 people killed in fire at candle factory near Pune district

PUNE: On Friday, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shekhar Singh said that six people were dead during a fire incident at a candle-making factory in Maharashtra. This incident happened in the Talawade area of Pimpri Chinchwad area of Pune district of Maharashtra.

PUNE: On Friday, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shekhar Singh said that six people were dead during a fire incident at a candle-making factory in Maharashtra. After receiving information about this incident fire tenders and local police reached on the spot.

Pimpri-Chinchwad municipal commissioner Shekhar Singh said that the fire brigade received a call about the blaze at the factory located at Talawade around 2.45 pm.He further said that the factory manufactured sparkling candles which are generally used for birthday celebrations.

An official said that eight other people injured in this incident and admitted to hospital with minor and major injuries. This incident happened in the Talawade area of Pimpri Chinchwad area of Pune district of Maharashtra. According to the information, Several workers were feared trapped in the incident.

Giving details about this incident Singh added, “The fire has been doused. The cause is yet to be ascertained.” After the incident the commissioner informed that the injured were admitted to hospitals in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation area.
