Mumbai: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has claimed that a BJP leader has been threatening NCP chief Sharad Pawar. “A central minister of the BJP has said that if any attempts are made to save the MVA government, then Sharad Pawar will not be allowed to go home.” Whether the MVA government survives or not, it doesn’t matter. The use of such language for Sharad Pawar is not acceptable, “Sanjay Raut tweeted.
He said, “PM Modi and Amit Shah, listen.” Some of your leaders are threatening Sharad Pawar. This is a legal fight now. So far, Shiv sainiks have not come out on the roads. We shall take to the streets, if needed.
Speaking on rebel Sena MLA Eknath Shinde’s claims of having such and such numbers to topple the Uddhav Thackeray government in Maharashtra, Raut said: “There are certain rules. There are orders from the Supreme Court. This is a legal fight now. The figures which are given by rebels have uncertainty. Some claim they have 40 MLAs, while another figure says a different number. The air will be cleared on the day the MLAs come to Mumbai. ” The fight is going on over numbers, papers, and on the streets. ” “We are set to win in all three segments,” he said.
On Thursday night, Eknath Shinde wrote to the Deputy Speaker of the Maharashtra Assembly, Narhari Zirwal, declaring his appointment as the leader of the Shiv Sena Legislature Party.
The NCP and the Congress have been supporting the Shiv Sena shoulder to shoulder, despite the Sena’s declining numbers and uncertain future in the state.
All the rebel MLAs of the Shinde camp have been staying at the Blu hotel in Guwahati, Assam, where a BJP-government has been in power.
