In a successful crackdown, the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell of the Maharashtra police has dismantled a prostitution racket operating within a spa in Thane, rescuing three women from exploitation. The decisive action unfolded during a sting operation at the spa located on Manpada Road in Dombivli, as revealed in an official statement on Sunday.

On March 1, an undercover officer posed as a customer, leading to the apprehension of the female owner associated with the illicit establishment. The three women, aged between 34 to 38, employed at the spa, were promptly rescued from the exploitative environment.

Responding to this grave violation, law enforcement wasted no time in registering a case against the spa owner, invoking relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act.

Acting on a tip-off, authorities conducted a sting operation, resulting in the rescue of two women, aged around 20, who were being forced into the flesh trade. The woman orchestrating the illegal activities was apprehended and faces legal consequences.
