Following the complaint, the police initiated a missing person case on December 8. During their investigation, the father received a distressing call from his son, claiming to be kidnapped by three individuals. The alleged kidnappers demanded a ransom of ₹30,000, threatening harm to the son if the payment was not made. To facilitate the transaction, the son sent a QR code to his father.

In response, four police teams were deployed to search for the man in various locations, including Vasai, Virar, Nallasopara, and others. After following multiple leads, the man was traced to Vasai phata on Saturday.

The 20-year-old has been detained by the police, and further investigation is underway to unravel the details of this unusual incident.
