Maharashtra: Man attacked with sword over dispute, incident captured in CCTV

Mumbai: In a dramatic way, some people stop a businessman’s vehicle by hitting him on the road and then take the businessman out of the vehicle and kill him several times with a sword. After this, the accused put the businessman in their car while waving swords and firing bullets. It is seen in the CCTV footage that the businessman was seriously injured in the sword attack. Since the incident, tension has spread in Vasai near Mumbai. The police started a massive search for the suspects.

According to local residents, the attack could be the result of a dispute between two groups involved in the pork trade. This incident happened in Palghar district of Maharashtra. This attack was captured in CCTV cameras. Shocking footage shows a pick-up van ramming into another and stopping. A man is then pulled out of the vehicle and repeatedly slashed with a sword.

The attackers are seen scaring the people around by waving swords and waving guns. Witnesses have said that the attackers opened fire to ensure that no one intervened. The person who has been attacked has been identified as Harjeet Singh. According to eyewitnesses, the assailants abducted her after the assault. The police have registered a case and formed several teams to track down Harjeet Singh and the suspects.

Visuals from the spot showed top police officials checking the spot for clues. Local resident Jayendra Patil said that the assailants had warned bystanders to stop them from saving Harjeet Singh.

One of them pulled out a gun, so no one dared to intervene. He said the dispute could be related to pork trade. He is a pork dealer. This attack may be related to that. The assailants put Harjit Singh in their pick-up van and fled.
