NIA has received a mail threatening to carry out a terrorist attack inside Mumbai. It has been claimed that Taliban leader Sirajuddin Haqqani has planned this attack.
Mumbai:Big breaking news is coming from Maharashtra where NIA had received terrorist attack threat in Mumbai. Terrorist attack has been threatened in Mumbai via an e-mail. Different cities of the country have been alerted after NIA received a threatening email. The NIA has also given this information to the Mumbai Police. Police and other agencies are involved in the investigation.
According to sources, a threatening mail was received on the email ID of NIA, in which there has been a threat of terrorist attack in Mumbai. The e-mailer described himself as a Taliban and claimed that this was going to happen on the orders of Sirajuddin Haqqani, a prominent leader of the Taliban organization.
As soon as the information about the threatening email was received, the Mumbai Police was informed about it. At present, police and other agencies are investigating and trying to find out from where the email was sent. At the same time, an alert has been issued in different cities of the country.
Who is Sirajuddin Haqqani
Sirajuddin Haqqani is the head of the Haqqani network, the most dangerous group of the Taliban. After the return of Taliban in Afghanistan, it has been made the acting Home Minister. Along with this, he holds the position of number 2 leader in Taliban. The Haqqani network has a significant influence in the Taliban. The American investigative agency FBI has placed a reward of $ 10 million for information about Haqqani’s location.
Earlier in January, there was a threat of terrorist attack in Mumbai. A person called up the control room of the Mumbai Police and threatened to carry out bomb blasts at different places across the city. The person who threatened had said on the phone that on the lines of 1993, Mumbai would be terrorized by blasting at various places. It was said to carry out these attacks within 2 months.
According to the police, a call was received by a caller claiming that three bombs have been planted in the city at Infinity Mall Andheri, PVR Mall Juhu, and Sahara Hotel Airport. The Mumbai police had beefed up security in the targeted places.
