Mahashivratri 2023 : According to the Hindu calendar, this time the festival of Mahashivratri will be celebrated on 18 February 2023. On this day, along with worshiping Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati, the devotees will also keep a fast. It is necessary to take care of what things can be consumed during fasting. While preparing food for fasting, also keep in mind that you should consume such things which fill the stomach as well as maintain the energy level of the body.

1. Fruit
Most of the people are advised to eat fruits during Mahashivratri fast. Eat fruits like orange, pomegranate, apple and sweet lime during the fast as this will keep your body hydrated and your stomach will not remain empty.

2. Healthy Drink
After worshiping on the day of Mahashivaratri, you must drink healthy drinks, so that your body will continue to get energy throughout the day. That’s why you should drink liquids like coconut water, fruit juice, smoothie and lemon water.

3. Buckwheat flour
Since it is forbidden to eat cereals during Mahashivratri fast, you can eat buckwheat flour. With its help, parathas, puris or pakoras can be made.

4. Vegetables
Vegetables are also considered suitable for fasting. Make sure to include potato, pumpkin and colocasia vegetables in your food, you will use rock salt while preparing it.

5. Dryfruits
During the fast of Mahashivratri, it is necessary to eat such food which keeps your stomach full for a long time, in such a situation it is advisable to eat dry fruits because it gives a lot of energy to the body.
