Mumbai: Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni underwent a successful operation on his left knee at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai on Thursday. Dhoni’s knee was injured during the first match of IPL 2023. As soon as the IPL reached its conclusion on May 30, Dhoni went to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital and got his knee examined. After knee examination on 31 May, his knee was operated on the morning of 1 June.

This surgery of MS Dhoni has been done by Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, Director of Arthroscopy Department at Kokilaben Hospital. Within 48 hours of Dhoni winning the IPL trophy, he had contacted Mumbai’s renowned orthopedic doctor Dinshaw Pardiwala. He is the same doctor who also operated on the knee of cricketer Rishabh Pant who was injured in a road accident. He is also part of the medical panel of BCCI and has performed surgeries on many legendary cricketers. Dr. Pardiwala is also the head of the Center for Sports Medicine at Kokilaben Hospital.

enough time for the knee to fit perfectly

A source close to the CSK management said, “Dhoni underwent a successful knee operation at Kokilaben Hospital. He is fine and will be discharged in a day or two. He will rest for a few days after which his rehabilitation will begin. Hopefully he will have full time to get fit before the next IPL.
