New Delhi: Thar is one of the most selling terrain beast by Mahindra and Mahindra, Thar, has recently undergone a price revision. The makers recently announced a price hike across its passenger and commercial car portfolio to make up for an under-par 2020.
After the badly hit economy, due to Corona Virus, it was clear that almost all automobile makers will notch up the number of launches and will raise the prices across their portfolio. Following the suit, Mahindra & Mahindra became the first to issue the revised price list for its popular automobile ‘Thar’.
However, due to some unknown reasons, the makers didn’t reveal the updated price list but the same has now been revealed for the Thar.
So, if you are planning to add Mahindra Thar to your garage you will have to dish out a little more cash. Thar now comes with a new starting price of INR 12.10 lakh; which costs you INR 20,000 more than the previous price of Rs 11.90 lakh. The top-spec variant of the Mahindra Thar is now priced at INR 14.15 lakh, compared to the previous INR 13.75 lakh; which makes it INR 40,000 costlier. The price list is applicable to ex-showroom (Delhi) only.

Currently, the new Thar is coming in AX and LX series with soft top and hardtop options. Talking about the specifics, it is powered by either a 2.2L mHwak diesel engine which gives 130BHP of peak power and 300Nm of peak torque. Also offered is a 2.0L mStallion petrol engine which delivers 150BHP of peak power and 300Nm of peak torque.
Despite the revised price list, Mahindra Thar is still garnering a great response from buyers and the auto enthusiasts. It has been generating good sales numbers since its launch in 2020. To provide its consumers a wide range of colour schemes, Mahindra has offered them more colour variants. Recently, Thar is available in a choice of seven paint schemes – Aquamarine, Napoli Black, Rocky Beige, Red Rage, Mystic Copper and Aqua Marine Galaxy Grey.

The surging demand for this beast in the Indian market has extended its waiting period for select variants to over six months.
