New Delhi: SUV specialist Indian car company Mahindra has updated the sub-compact SUV Mahindra XUV300 with a new engine. From April 1, stricter emission norms i.e. Real Driving Emission (RDE) will come into effect. Considering this, the company lineup has changed. Now the new SUV will also support ethanol based E20 fuel.

From April 1, stricter emission norms i.e. Real Driving Emission (RDE) will come into effect. Considering this, the company lineup has changed. Now the new SUV will also support ethanol based E20 fuel.
However, the burden on the pockets of the customers has increased for the updated SUV. The auto company has increased the price of XU300 by up to Rs 22,000. The increased price is applicable from this month itself. There has been an increase in the prices of almost all its variants. The W4 and W6 petrol manual variants of the SUV are the only variants that have remained unchanged in their prices.
The Mahindra XUV300 has got a price hike of at least Rs. 15,000. Buying the W6 automatic in the petrol version will cost you Rs 20,000 more. At the same time, there has been an increase of Rs 15,000 in the second version. The ex-showroom price of the petrol variant ranges from Rs 8.41 lakh to Rs 13.21 lakh.
Talking about the turbo-petrol engine, the W6 and W8 variants have also got an increase of at least Rs. 15,000. The top 2 variants of the SUV – W8(O) and W8(O) Dual-Tone – have seen a price hike of Rs 20,000. The ex-showroom price of the turbo petrol engine variant ranges from Rs 10.50 lakh to Rs 13.10 lakh.
Mahindra has made the maximum increase in the diesel variant. The company has increased the price of the W8 variant that comes with a sunroof by Rs 20,000. Whereas, the top-spec W8(O) manual, automatic and dual-tone variants have got the maximum price hike of Rs 22,000. The ex-showroom price of the diesel SUV is Rs 9.80-14.14 lakh.
