Mumbai: Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently went on a tour of Mumbai. A case of security lapse has came to the fore during his visit. When this person was suspected, an official of the ministry informed the Mumbai Police. Mumbai Police has arrested this person after interrogation. The name of the accused is Hemant Pawar and he is a resident of Dhule. The accused Pawar was produced in the court, from where he has been sent to police custody for 5 days.

Sources said that an official of the ministry had seen Pawar hovering around the politicians. When asked about his identity, he claimed that he was the PA of an Andhra MP. A policeman said, “Pawar was wearing an MHA ribbon and hence no one suspected him.” Though not convinced, Mantralaya officials contacted the police, who traced Pawar and arrested him within three hours of the incident.

Amit Shah also visited the residences of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Mr Shah visited Mumbai for the first time after Eknath Shinde became Maharashtra Chief Minister on July 30 following a split in the Shiv Sena.

He was taken into custody and was arrested later after interrogation, police said, adding that further investigation in the case is on.

Shah visited Lalbaugcha Raja, a prominent Ganesh pandal, on Monday during his two-day visit to the city.
