Mumbai: Kamala Rashid Khan was sent to 14 days of judicial custody by the court. He was arrested under Sections 153A, 294, 500, 501, 505, 67, and 98 of the IPC.
Kamaal Rashid Khan, most of the time, remains in the news for his controversial remarks. He is an Indian actor, producer, and writer who participated in the reality show Bigg Boss in 2009.
Malad police detained Kamaal R. Khan on August 30 at Mumbai Airport, who frequently made crude remarks about Bollywood and celebrities. His arrest took place due to his derogatory tweets against two departed actors, Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor, in 2020, which drew criticism from online users and Yuva Sena member Rahul Kanal, leading to his arrest. KRK was given a lookout notice, and after that, an FIR was filed against him in 2020.
Kamaal R. Khan shared several controversial tweets against these two deceased actors in 2020. Irrfan and Rishi Kapoor were the prime targets of Kamaal Khan on his twitter account. An FIR was registered against him the same year. Rahul Kanal, a member of the Yuva Sena, filed the complaint. KRK was detained, and on August 30 he will have to appear in court in Borivali.
His contentious remarks against Bollywood actors and other celebrities always landed him in trouble. KRK became famous in 2021 for his tweet that Salman Khan had filed a defamation case against him. He shared the first page of the notice on social media, which was sent by the legal team of Salman.
In another tweet, KRK asked Salman’s father, Salim Khan, to withdraw the case. KRK also tweeted that he is not in the mood to review Salman Khan’s movies in the future.
Later, a Mumbai civil court urged Kamaal R. Khan to refrain from posting or publishing any insulting content against Salman Khan.
