Mali Bus Blast: At least 11 people dead and dozens injured in a bus blast in Mali

A report by the UN mission found that 72 people died from IEDs from January 1 to August 31. Most of them are soldiers.

Mali: 11 people were killed and 53 others injured in a loud explosion on a bus in Mali. According to media reports, the blast took place in Mopti area, which is said to be a stronghold of jihadi violence.

According to sources, an explosion took place in the passenger bus between Bandiagara and Gondka in the early hours of Friday in Mopti area. Police and local sources had reported the death of 10 passengers and several seriously injured.

A bus blast in Mali has killed at least 11 people and injured dozens more, according to a hospital source cited by AFP. The bus hit an explosive device in the Mopti area, known as a hotbed for jihadist violence, sources reported.

Moussa Hausseni of the local Bandiagara Youth Association said that we have so far taken nine bodies to the clinic. He said that the death toll could also increase. Let us tell you that Mali has been battling a jihadist insurgency for a long time. So far thousands of people have lost their lives in the rebellion, while hundreds have had to flee their homes.
