Man, 55, shot dead at Greater Noida farmhouse where Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani was filmed

The grand Randhawa Paradise bungalow where Rocky Randhawa lived in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is now a scene of crime. The lavish farmhouse is hogging headlines after a man was found dead inside the farmhouse. Reports said the incident took place during a wedding ceremony on Monday night when 55-year-old Ashok Yadav was shot by his son's father-in-law, Shekhar. The Randhawa Paradise is located in Sector 1, Noida Extension, Greater Noida, and is a part of the Gaur Mulberry Mansions. An investigation is underway.

Greater Noida: The grand Randhawa Paradise bungalow where Rocky Randhawa lived in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is now a scene of crime. The lavish farmhouse is hogging headlines after a man was found dead inside the farmhouse. Reports said the incident took place during a wedding ceremony on Monday night when 55-year-old Ashok Yadav was shot by his son’s father-in-law, Shekhar. The Randhawa Paradise is located in Sector 1, Noida Extension, Greater Noida, and is a part of the Gaur Mulberry Mansions. An investigation is underway.

According to reports, the man (55) was allegedly murdered by his son’s father-in-law during a marriage function at a farmhouse in Greater Noida West on Monday (November 27) night. This is the same property that Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani used as the residence of the Randhawa family, which included characters played by Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Aamir Bashir, among others.

According to the recent update, Suniti, the deputy commissioner of police for Central Noida, has named the victim individual as Ashok Yadav. Ashok Yadav was a resident of Sector 51, Noida, and also served as the president of the residents’ welfare association for Sector 51 Block H.

“The wedding was held at Gaur Mulberry Farmhouse in Greater Noida West and it was there that Shekhar, a resident of Ghaziabad, allegedly shot Ashok dead around 9.30pm on Monday. Ashok’s son and Shekhar’s daughter were going through a divorce because of which the two families were in conflict,” she said, as quoted by sources, adding, “Our inquiry has unveiled that Shekhar and Ashok had an major dispute following which Shekhar shot Ashok twice in the head. There was utter chaos at the venue following the shooting and, in the melee, Shekhar managed to escape. Our inquiry has revealed that Shekhar used a licensed revolver for the attack.”

For those unversed, The Randhawa Paradise served as an important setting for the Karan Johar film, which released on July 28 and received both critical and commercial success. The film features Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles, with Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan playing their grandparents.
