A woman was strangulated to death in South Delhi's Fatehpur Beri area. After a thorough investigation in this case, the woman was identified as 30 years old Sweety. The incident was carried out by the woman's husband along with two other relatives. The police have arrested all the three accused in the case.
New Delhi: In Fatehpur Beri area, the incident of strangling a woman and throwing her in the forest has come to light. The incident was carried out by the woman’s husband along with two other relatives. Police arrested all the three accused in the case and also recovered a TSR used in the crime.
The three accused have been identified as Dharamveer (husband of the deceased) of Nangloi and his two brothers-in-law Satyavan and Arun of Chhatarpur. At the same time, the deceased has been identified as Dharamveer’s wife Sweety. Police is questioning the accused.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Chandan Chowdhary said that on August 5, information was received about the body of an unknown woman being found near Jheel Khurd border in Fatehpur Beri area. Police reached the spot and found the body of a 30-year-old woman lying on the side of the road. The woman could not be identified.
While checking the footage of CCTV cameras installed around the spot, on the night of August 4, the police found a TSR in suspicious condition. The police traced the route map of TSR and found out its registration number.
The arrested accused Arun told during interrogation that he was well-acquainted with the Fatehpur area, so he had chosen the deserted area of the forest for the murder and destruction of the dead body.
Had bought and married an unknown woman for 70 thousand rupees
The apprehended accused told the police that Dharamveer was not happy with his wife’s behavior as she often ran away from their home for several months without informing them.
No one in the entire area knew about the woman’s maternal family as Dharamveer had bought this woman from an unknown woman for Rs 70,000. After this, the deceased Sweety also did not tell anything about her family to anyone.
Sweety was a resident of Bihar
She only told that she is a native of Patna, Bihar. In the said situation, the police have registered a case under murder and other sections and arrested the accused Arun.
Along with this, the TSR used in the incident has also been recovered. On the basis of Arun’s statement and investigation, the police have also arrested the accused Dharamveer and Satyavan. The police is investigating the case.
