Imphal: Fresh violence again reported in Manipur. The exchange of fire between two groups started late Saturday evening in Bishnupur district. Women blocked roads and burnt tyres. According to media reports, more than a hundred people from the Kuki community burnt some houses and a school belonging to the Meitei community in Trobung gram panchayat of Bishnupur district. Security forces reached the spot and controlled the situation. Sanasam Premchandra Singh, BJP MLA from Kumbi, said, all of them had come from Churachandpur district and suddenly attacked.
There was a fierce firing incident during the clash between two communities here. After the firing, tension has spread in the area and security forces have been deployed on the spot to maintain peace there.

Amid the uproar by opposition MPs, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that the government is ready to discuss the matter.
