During this, PM Modi said that just a few days ago he got an opportunity to attend the program of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. There he held a screening of the serial ‘Swaraj Doordarshan’. This is a great initiative to acquaint the young generation of the country with the efforts of unheard heroes and heroines who took part in the freedom movement.
Prime Minister Modi said that the construction of Amrit Sarovar has become a mass movement. When there is a feeling to do something for the country, there is concern for the coming generations, then the capacity also builds up and the resolve becomes noble. Giving the example of Warangal in Telangana, the PM said that a new gram panchayat has been formed here, this village is close to the forest area. There was a place here, where water used to collect in monsoon. On the demand of the villagers, this place is being developed under Amrit Sarovar. This time due to the rains during the monsoon, this lake has been filled with water. The PM appealed to the youth to take part in the Amrit Sarovan campaign. Take forward the campaign of water conservation and water conservation.
PM Modi said that every Sunday at 9 pm on Doordarshan, it is broadcast, which is going to run for 75 weeks. Take out time to see it yourself and show it to the children of your house too, which will create a new awareness in our country towards these great heroes of the birth of freedom.
Modi said that today a lot is being done to promote millets i.e. coarse grains in the country. Along with the focus on research and innovation related to this, FPOs are being encouraged, so that, production can be increased. He urged the farmers to adopt more and more coarse grains and take advantage of it. The PM also mentioned Jorsing village in Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. He said that 4G internet services have started here from the day of Independence Day this month. People celebrated on this occasion. There has been a new sunrise in remote areas. Internet connectivity has brought a new dawn. The facilities which were earlier available in big cities, have been brought to every village by Digital India.
In Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi asked people to join the campaign to fight malnutrition. He emphasized that social awareness is an important aspect of this fight. PM Modi said that apart from festivals, September is also dedicated to a big campaign related to nutrition. We celebrate ‘Poshan Maah’ or Poshan Maah from 1st to 30th September. He said that many constructive and varied efforts are being made against malnutrition. He said that better use of technology and public participation has also become an important part of ‘Poshan Abhiyaan’. Jal Jeevan Mission is going to have a big impact in making India malnutrition free.
PM Modi said that the colors of Amrit Mahotsav were visible not only in India but also in other countries of the world. A local lyricist living in Botswana also sang 75 patriotic songs to celebrate 75 years of India’s independence. The special thing is that these songs were sung in Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Bengali, Tamil and many other languages. At the same time, he said that the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ will continue till 2023.
PM Modi told that an interesting project is being run in Bongai village of Assam. Its name is Project Sampoorna. The aim of this project is to fight against malnutrition. Under this, the mother of a healthy child meets the mother of a malnourished child once a week at the Anganwadi centre. Due to this initiative, malnutrition has been eradicated in more than 90 percent of children in a year. Along with this, a campaign is being run in Jharkhand to raise awareness about malnutrition. A game of snakes and ladders has been prepared in Giridih, Jharkhand. Children learn about good and bad habits through play. ”
