New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki Ertiga 2022 was formally introduced on Friday with a spate of improvements, beginning at Rs. 8.35 lakh and rising to Rs. 12.79 lakh for the ZXi+ version (ex showroom prices). This is the first time Maruti has offered compressed natural gas (CNG) on the Ertiga’s top-of-the-line ZXi model, but there are numerous other new features that promise to make the MPV a tempting option once more.

The Ertiga was initially introduced in India as a three-row car in 2012, and it has since attracted a large following. The Ertiga has sold well over seven lakh units in the country, with the option of company-fitted CNG providing an extra boost to sales momentum. In the past, this MPV’s relatively low price, large cabin, and dependable driving characteristics have aided its cause. Maruti Suzuki looks to have maintained its focus on these essential characteristics while also providing improved features and a sharper outside appearance.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga price

The Ertiga price ranges from Rs. 8.35 lakh for the LXi to Rs. 12.79 lakh for the ZXi with AT. The VXi with CNG costs 10.44 lakh rupees, while the ZXi with CNG costs 11.54 lakh rupees (all prices are ex showroom).

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga CNG

With Tata Motors entering the CNG category for its passenger vehicles with the Tiago and Tigor, it was only a matter of time until Maruti Suzuki tried to up its game in the alternate fuel segment. While the Ertiga does not compete with the Tiago hatchback or the Tigor small sedan, the CNG kit is now available on the VXi and ZXi models. This might be a strategy to guarantee that consumers who choose CNG don’t miss out on the benefits of the top-of-the-line model.

The most recent Ertiga comes with four trim levels and 11 broad variations. On the VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+, there are three automatic choices available, as well as two CNG variations. The appearance of the new Ertiga has been updated with two-toned alloy wheels and a chrome winged front grill. In addition, there are six colour possibilities, including two new colours: Silver and Brown. More crucially, a one-touch recline and slide mechanism has been included into the second row of seats to improve the vehicle’s convenience. The third-row seats include a 50:50 fold mechanism that allows both seating and cargo capacity flexibility. Air-cooled can holders and a front-row armrest with a utility box are further notable features.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga rivals

The Ertiga will continue to compete against the Renault Triber, as well as the recently announced Kia Carens, which has lesser models priced similarly to the Ertiga.
