The country's largest passenger car Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched its all-new car Maruti Suzuki Alto K10. The starting price of the new Maruti Alto K10 will be Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top variant will cost Rs 5.83 lakh and will get an automatic gearbox.
New Delhi: On Thursday, The country’s largest passenger car Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched its all-new car Maruti Suzuki Alto K10. It is an affordable segment car and its older versions have been quite popular. Also, it is also the best selling car in India. This hatchback car of Maruti has been launched with new design and excellent interior. Better fuel efficiency and more power will be seen in the new variant.
The starting price of the new Maruti Alto K10 will be Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top variant will cost Rs 5.83 lakh and will get an automatic gearbox.
Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is available in four variants- Standard, Lxi, Vxi, VXi+.
It will be available in six colour options– Solid White, Silky Silver, Granite Grey, Sizzling Red, Speedy Blue, and Earth Gold.
The updates in the new-gen Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 will have similar updates in the cabin of the car as well. It now gets a new dashboard layout. Under the hood, The new Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is powered by a 1.0-liter K10C Dual Jet petrol engine. The engine’s highest output is 49 horsepower at 5,500 revolutions per minute, and its maximum torque is 89 Nm at 3,500. Both a 5-speed MT and an AGS (Automatic Gear shift) will be offered as transmission options. The car offers a mileage of 24.90 km per litre.
In the Indian market, the new Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 competes against other small hatchbacks like Renault Kwid and others. Inside the new Alto K10 sits a completely updated interior layout with a new dashboard and 17.78cm (7-inch) SmartPlay studio infotainment system which features smartphone navigation and smartphone connectivity with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and other SmartPlay Studio apps. Other than this, other key interior highlights include a digital instrument console, steering-mounted audio and voice controls.
The only direct rival of the new Alto K10 at this budget end of the market is the Renault Kwid. However, the prices of the new Alto K10 overlap with those of the S-Presso (Rs 4.25 – Rs 5.99 lakh) and the existing Alto 800 (Rs 3.39 – Rs 5.03 lakh), which are other options that customers can also check out.
