Massive Fire Engulfs Half a Dozen Houses in Uttarkashi, Helicopter Requested for Rescue

Uttarkashi Massive fire: Six wooden residential houses were burnt to ashes in a massive fire in Salra village of Mori tehsil of Uttarkashi. There is panic in the entire village due to the fire incident. The fire has still not been brought under control.

Uttarkashi Massive fire: Six wooden residential houses were burnt to ashes in a massive fire in Salra village of Mori tehsil of Uttarkashi. There is panic in the entire village due to the fire incident. The fire has still not been brought under control. At the same time, the DM has appealed to the Air Force to send helicopters for relief and rescue operations. This incident is being reported around 11:30 on Monday morning.

According to the information, immediately after receiving the information about the fire from village head Salra, SDRF (NDRF), police and revenue teams have been sent to the spot. It is being told that 70-75 families (houses) live in the village where the fire broke out. The biggest problem is that the village is about three kilometers away from the road and the water source there is also half a kilometer away. Meanwhile, Purola MLA Durgeshwar Lal is demanding a helicopter from the state government to extinguish the fire.

DM Dr. Meharban Singh Bisht has instructed Subdistrict Magistrate Purola and Tehsildar Mori to conduct relief and rescue operations expeditiously. DM Bisht said that he has requested the Air Force to send helicopters to help in relief and rescue operations. The administration is maintaining contact with the village head and other villagers. At the same time, along with SDRF and police, medical team, forest department and veterinary team have also been sent to the spot.
