Massive fire erupts at K’taka’s sparkle-candle manufacturing factory in Hubballi; 8 injured, 3 critical

Hubli: In yet another fire incident that cam into light from Karnataka. Massive fire broke out at a sparkle candle manufacturing factory in Dharwad’s Hubballi area of ​​Karnataka’s Dharwad on Saturday injuring eight people. Officials said the accident took place during working hours on Saturday evening at the factory located at Tarihal Industrial Estate.

Dharwad district collector Gurudutt Hegde, who was present at the site, said, “There has been an incident of fire in Tarihal industrial area. 8 people got injured, out of which 3 are in critical condition.

Dharwad area`s district collector Gurudatta Hegde, who was present on the spot of the incident, said, “A fire incident has been reported in Tarihal industrial area. 8 people sustained burn injuries, of which 3 in critical condition.”

“We are accessing material and probing for irregularities by the factory and its owner. The reasons behind the fire break out is yet to be ascertained,” said Gurudatta Hegde.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that people from nearby areas rushed to help those caught inside the factory and tried to douse the fire. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
