New Delhi: Twitter went down on Tuesday 9 August for thousands of users. There were thousands of reports about this problem on the Down Detector website. MacRumors reported that affected users were seeing a pop-up notice about the service being unavailable when they tried to access Twitter. However, the micro-blogging platform later informed that the problem has been fixed.
About 35 minutes later, Twitter said it had fixed the problems. “We made an internal systems change that didn’t go as planned and have rolled it back,” @TwitterSupport tweeted. “Twitter should now be loading as expected. Sorry about that!”

About half an hour after the problem was fixed, Twitter Support later posted a tweet saying, “We fixed it! We did an internal system change that didn’t go as planned, it has been rolled back. Twitter is now loading as expected. Pardon me!”
The technical problems resulted in some users being logged out of Twitter. The social network also was failing to load tweets and timelines. In some cases, attempting to load the main Twitter feed resulted in just the logo being displayed.
Twitter went down last month too
According to Variety, Twitter was down for about an hour even last month. Earlier on February 17, users had to face similar problems. During this too many memes were made on social media about Twitter.
This technical issue comes at a time when Twitter is having a legal battle with Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Let us tell you that Twitter has filed a lawsuit against Musk after he decided to back out from the $ 44 billion acquisition deal.
