New Delhi: Let us tell you that India has become the second country to give more than two billion doses to its population. Entrepreneur and Philanthropist Bill Gates congratulated PM Narendra Modi on the achievement of 200 crore COVID-19 vaccinations in India. So far, more doses of corona vaccine have been applied in China than in India.
On Wednesday,Taking to Twitter, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates tweeted, “Congratulations @narendramodi for yet another milestone of administering #200crorevaccinations. On March 16, 2022 in India, the COVID-19 vaccination for the 12-14 age group started. So far more than 3.80 crore (3,80,72,341) adolescents have been administered the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Similarly, preconception dosage for the age group of 18-59 was also started on 10th April, 2022. India launched the world’s biggest Covid vaccination drive in January last year.
According to the Union health ministry on Tuesday, 200.59 crore doses have been administered to eligible beneficiaries so far. Over 23 lakh vaccines were administered till 7 pm on Tuesday. So far, more doses of corona vaccine have been applied in China than in India. Where more than three billion doses have been given so far. More than 3.4 billion doses have now been given in China.
On Tuesday, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that India’s cumulative COVID-19 vaccination coverage exceeded a total of 200.33 crores. Earlier PM Modi tweeted that India again created history. Congratulations to all Indians on crossing the special mark of 200 crore vaccine doses. Proud of those who contributed to making India’s vaccination campaign unique. This has strengthened the global fight against Corona. He said, throughout the rollout of the vaccine, the people of India have shown remarkable faith in science. Our doctors, nurses, frontline workers, scientists, innovators and entrepreneurs have played a vital role in ensuring a safer planet. I appreciate his spirit and determination.
The Center announced the launch of a special campaign ‘COVID Vaccination Amrit Mahotsav’ to provide free precautionary doses at all government COVID vaccination centers for persons aged 18 years and above for 75 days from July 15 to September 30, 2022. On ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, all eligible population (18+) can get a dose of free precaution. This special vaccination drive is a part of the celebration of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and aims to provide free precautionary doses to the eligible population of all adults (18 years and above) in Government COVID Vaccination Centers (CVCs).
