Ghaziabad: Police have arrested three members of a gang for looting a factory in Modinagar, near Ghaziabad. The miscreants committed this crime after making some workers captive at gunpoint.
Police have identified the culprits: Raheesh (34), Intezar (23) and Bilal (21), all belonging to Meerut. These three were nabbed on Thursday, while the other three guilty parties are still absconding.
Six miscreants broke into a local soft drink manufacturing company situated in Modinagar and grabbed three labourers, then made them hostage.
The accused took away cash and other valuables from the factory. The factory owner, Prakash Aggarwal, lives in the Raj Nagar area of Ghaziabad.
Sunil Kumar Singh, circle officer in Modinagar, said that all the accused jumped the boundary wall of the factory. They abducted workers; besides this, they snatched their mobile phones so that they couldn’t contact anyone. The officer said that besides this, they also took away a grinding machine and a DVR camera before leaving the factory.
Police saw the CCTV footage of the nearby vicinity to probe the matter and reach the bottom of the crime. The officer stated that three men from the gang have been arrested so far. An FIR was registered against the six under the relevant sections of the IPC and the Arms Act.
