Miscreants robbed, murdered retired IAS’s wife in broad daylight in Lucknow; Absconded

On Saturday, in broad daylight, miscreants entered the house in Sector-20 of Indiranagar, Lucknow, the capital of UP, and murdered and looted Mohini Dubey, wife of retired IAS Devendra Dubey. The miscreants were sitting in ambush earlier. As soon as retired IAS Devendra Dubey went out to play golf in the car with the driver.

Lucknow: On Saturday, in broad daylight, miscreants entered the house in Sector-20 of Indiranagar, Lucknow, the capital of UP, and murdered and looted Mohini Dubey, wife of retired IAS Devendra Dubey. The miscreants were sitting in ambush earlier. As soon as retired IAS Devendra Dubey went out to play golf in the car with the driver. Immediately the blue scooter riders entered the society. As soon as the milkman left, the miscreants reached Devendra’s house and carried out the incident within 45 minutes.

According to the information, Devendra had left the house at around seven in the morning. After 12 minutes, milkman Imran came to Devendra’s house to collect milk. According to the milkman, Mohini took milk from him and went inside the house. According to police sources, after the milkman left, the miscreants reached Devendra Dubey’s house between 7:15 and 7:20 pm and at around 8 o’clock the miscreants came out of the house. While she was in the house for about 45 minutes, the miscreants murdered Mohini and looted the jewellery.

According to the police, milk was kept in the kitchen. The gas was burning. It is suspected that when Mohini reached the kitchen to heat the milk and lit the gas, the miscreants attacked her. Due to this the gas kept burning.

How much robbed, not clear yet

Devendra said that the jewelery was missing but could not tell how much the jewelery was worth. He is shocked by Mohini’s death. That’s why we couldn’t tell much. Of the jewelery Mohini was wearing, only the diamond ring was taken away by the miscreants. Devendra had gifted this ring worth Rs 5 lakh to Mohini a few months ago.

Family members told that whenever Devendra went out of the house, Mohini would immediately close all the doors of the house. Even if someone came, she would open the door only after verification. It is clear that someone familiar has come. Just then Mohini opened the door.

Eight employees used to come to work at Devendra’s house. Apart from the driver Akhilesh and his brother Ravi, there are also Inderpal, Sunita, Sunita Kumari, Sanju, Sanju Kumar and a sweeper. The maid was on leave on Saturday. Due to Akhilesh’s absence, Ravi took Devendra by car for golf.

The police is interrogating all of them. The forensic team investigated the incident site for about two hours. Finger prints were also taken. The dog squad kept roaming around after leaving the house. However, no concrete clue could be found from this.

Married Mohini for the second time in 2007

Devendra’s first wife Meena died in 2004. In 2007, he married Mohini, a resident of Cantt Sadar, for the second time. Mohini used to run an NGO related to women empowerment. Devendra retired in 2009. Devendra has two sons from his first wife. In which the elder son is Pranjal. Who lives in Noida with his family.

In a way, he had isolated himself after his father remarried. Don’t care about father. Whereas younger son Prateek lives in Takrohi. According to ACP Ghazipur, Devendra has evicted Prateek, an alcohol addict. Devendra does not have any children from Mohini.

This is how the incident happened

At 7:12 in the morning the milkman Imran arrived to deliver milk.

The miscreants entered the house at 7:15 in the morning.

At 8:00 in the morning the miscreants escaped from the house after committing murder and robbery.

Devendra reached home at 9:30 in the morning and saw the dead body of his wife Mohini lying there.

At 9:40 am Ravi reported the incident at the police post.

Police reached the spot at 10:55 am.

Let us tell you that in Sector-20 of Indiranagar, Lucknow, on Saturday morning, miscreants entered the house in broad daylight and murdered Mohini Dubey, wife of retired IAS Devendra Dubey, and looted it. When Devendra reached home after playing golf, he saw his wife’s dead body lying on the first floor. She was strangled with a scarf and was hit on the head with a heavy object.

Police, dog squad and forensic team investigated. CCTV footage is being scrutinized. Five teams have been deployed to uncover the incident. Retired IAS Devendra Dubey’s first wife Meena has passed away. He lived with his second wife Mohini Dubey (58) in house number 20/31 in Sector-20 of Indiranagar. Devendra has been the Divisional Commissioner of Prayagraj and DM of Rae Bareli and many districts.
