Mithun Chakraborty admitted to Apollo hospital in Kolkata following cerebral stroke

At the age of 73, he has suffered a cerebral stroke. For the last 15 days, actor Mithun was busy shooting for the Bengali film "Shastri" in Kolkata. Mithun Chakraborty's close aide present in the hospital shared that there is no need to worry about the actor and that he is fine.

Kolkata: Veteran star Mithun Chakraborty has been admitted to Apollo Hospital in Kolkata on Saturday(February 10, 2024) morning. Though the exact reason for his admission was not shared by his close associate, but the actor felt a bit uneasy since morning and was thus taken to the hospital for prompt medical attention. He complained of chest pain that suspected to be a cerebral stroke.

At the age of 73, he has suffered a cerebral stroke. For the last 15 days, actor Mithun was busy shooting for the Bengali film “Shastri” in Kolkata. Mithun Chakraborty’s close aide present in the hospital shared that there is no need to worry about the actor and that he is fine.

A source informed that the medical team is diligently looking after Mithun Da, as he is affectionately known among his fans.

While there were initial speculations about chest pain, a source from the hospital dismissed these claims, clarifying that Mithun Chakraborty was primarily feeling uneasy. Reports suggesting a brain stroke are also doing the rpunds, but no official confirmation has been provided.

Mithun Chakraborty has been in Kolkata since last week and working on his upcoming Bengali film ‘Shastri’. Mithun Chakraborty is an actor, producer and politician. The veteran actor made his debut in Mrigayaa in 1977 and for his brilliant performance in the film, he bagged his first National Award as an actor. He has worked in several films including Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Odia, Bhojpuri, Telugu, Kannada and Punjabi.
