Monsoon creates trouble for oily skin! Try these homemade face packs for healthy skin in this season

Lucknow: The rainy season gives relief from the scorching heat but creates problems for the skin and hair. It causes acne and sometimes the skin looks dull. In this season, those with oily skin have to face more problems and have to take more care of it. Apart from stickiness in oily skin, acne, pimples and red spots also start happening on the face. This humidity makes the skin super sweaty and oily. And the sweat and oil deposit on the skin surface makes our skin look dull.

Most of us follow a strict skincare routine during summers and winters, but it takes a backseat during the monsoon season. This happens primarily because we fail to recognize that monsoon is a distinct season and can cause specific dermal issues. In fact, the rainy season can exacerbate existing problems. Humidity, an integral characteristic of the Indian monsoon, is known to cause frizzy hair, greasy skin, and chafing.

Monsoons, in particular, can also cause fungal infections and acne. So to keep your skin health consistent and help with the changing weather, it is necessary to take care of it all year round. So try these homemade face packs for healthy looking skin:-

# Face pack of Oatmeal, Honey and Curd:
Prepare oatmeal powder by grinding two tbsp of uncooked oats. Add the oatmeal powder to a tbsp of fresh, plain yogurt, one tbsp honey to it and mix together. Apply it on to the face and neck. Gently massage to exfoliate the skin with the mixture for 3-5 minutes. Keep it on the skin for another 10-12 minutes and then wash off with fresh water.

# Face pack of Tomato:
Tomato pulp or juice helps in reducing skin oil and making the skin glowing. It is extremely helpful for people with oily skin as it has oil-reducing astringent properties. Take a bowl and add rice flour to fresh tomato juice and mix the mixture well. Add 1 tsp of raw honey to it and stir gently again. Apply this paste gently on your skin and wash off with cold water after drying.

# Face pack of Lemon juice and Honey:
Lemon juice is a wonderful ingredient for our skin. The anti bacterial and anti microbial properties of lemon juice help fighting off acne and pimples, thus boosting skin health. Along with that, the presence of phytoncides and vitamin P in lemon juice also help to get blemish free skin.

Take one tbsp lemon juice and add one tbsp honey to it. Apply it on your clean face and keep it for around 20 minutes and wash with cold water. Do this twice a day.

# Face pack of Turmeric and besan:
Mix one spoon gram flour and a little turmeric in a bowl. Also, you add rose water to it to make a smooth paste. If you have dark skin then lemon juice can also be added to it. Now wash your face and apply this paste and leave it for 15-20 minutes. Finally clean the skin with the help of clean water. If your skin is very oily and you are also facing the problem of breakouts and acne due to this, then you can use multani mitti instead of gram flour. Its oil absorbing properties show amazing effect on your skin.

# Face pack of Honey, lavender essential oil, and tea tree essential oil
Mix two tablespoons of honey with four tablespoons of lavender essential oil. Add a drop of tea tree essential oil to the mixture and let it sit for 5 minutes. Apply it evenly to your whole face. Allow the face pack to sit for 10 minutes before rinsing with warm water. Rinse with cold water once more to ensure that your pores are closed.

Honey contains antibacterial and antimicrobial properties that help to cure acne and breakouts while also evening out the skin tone. Lavender is known to add a natural glow to the skin, as well as soothing acne and other skin problems. Tea tree essential oil is a miracle worker when it comes to treating acne!

# Face pack of mint leaves and banana:
Mint is rich in menthol and also has anti-bacterial properties. These bright green, aromatic leaves are loaded with impressive nutrients that are beneficial in maintaining skin and hair health. To make this face pack, mash a banana in a bowl. After this, grind mint leaves and make a paste. Put these leaves in a bowl. Mix these two things well. Now apply these things on the face and neck. Leave this paste on the face and neck for 10 minutes. After that wash the face with plain water.

# Face pack of Almond, honey and rose water:
Almonds are rich in Vitamin E which helps in reducing signs of ageing and nourishes your skin. Eating almonds, as well as using almond face packs help to get fair and clear skin. Make a fine paste of 5-6 almonds add one tbsp honey and one tbsp rose water to it. Apply on face and leave it for 20 minutes. Splash your face with cold water and apply a light moisturiser.

# Lentil dal face pack:
Lentils are very beneficial not only in eating but also for the skin. The minerals and vitamins found in it help in eliminating the problem of oily skin. To make its money fake, make a thick paste by mixing half a cup of lentils, one-third cup of raw milk. Leave it on the face for 20 minutes and wash it off with cold water. It can also be used for scrubbing on the face.
