The official said that during the ongoing 10-day Ganesh Utsav in a village under Civil Lines police station area, The incident took place on Tuesday evening. This incident happened in Datia district of Madhya Pradesh.
According to the police information, Children reached the pond to immerse an idol. Some villagers saw seven children drowning in the water body. Superintendent of Police Pradeep Sharma said that While three of them were rescued, four others died,
He further said that the children, including three girls, were in the age group of 14 to 16 years. The official said, Two of the three rescued children were in a serious condition and referred to a hospital in Gwalior for further treatment.
