MP: Bhopal-Delhi Vande Bharat Express catches fire, passengers evacuated safely

Bhopal: Fire in Vande Bharat The news of fire in a coach of Vande Bharat train going from Madhya Pradesh to Delhi has come to the fore. This morning, a fire broke out in the C-14 coach of Vande Bharat train going from Rani Kamlapati Railway Station to Hazrat Nizamuddin near Bina station.

Bhopal: Fire in Vande Bharat The news of fire in a coach of Vande Bharat train going from Madhya Pradesh to Delhi has come to the fore. This morning, a fire broke out in the C-14 coach of Vande Bharat train going from Rani Kamlapati Railway Station to Hazrat Nizamuddin near Bina station.

There were about 36 passengers in this coach, who were brought down by stopping the train at Kurwai Kaithora at 7 am. The accident happened due to fire in the battery of the coach.

According to the information, Departure of 20171 Bhopal – Hazrat Nizamuddin Vande Bharat at 5.40 am on Monday. A fire broke out in the C-14 coach of the train at Kurwai Kethora before Bina railway station. There are about 36 passengers in the coach. At 7 am, the train was stopped at Kurwai Kethora and the passengers were alighted safely. The fire brigade team is on the spot.

Pawan Kumar, who was traveling in the train, told, ‘The sound of fire came from the bottom of the C-14 coach where his seat is. All the passengers ran away. When the train stopped, I saw that the battery was on fire. Pawan was going from Bhopal to Delhi.

Vande Bharat train running between Rani Kamlapati – Nizamuddin – Rani Kamlapati is the first Vande Bharat train of Madhya Pradesh. It was flagged off by Queen Kamlapati 4 months ago on April 1, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This train went till Agra in the inaugural run. The official run began on 2 April. The train came from Nizamuddin to Rani Kamlapati. On 3 April, the queen left for Nizamuddin from Kamlapati.

Madhya Pradesh has received three Vande Bharat trains since April 2023. The first train runs between Rani Kamlapati – Nizamuddin – Rani Kamlapati. The second and third Vande Bharat are Bhopal-Indore-Bhopal and Rani Kamlapati-Jabalpur-Ranikamalapati. Both these trains were flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi together on June 27.
