SI Karmaveer Singh of Ratibad police station said that 54-year-old Sheela Pandey, a resident of Sai Nagar Colony, was an active worker of the Bharatiya Janata Party and was an office-bearer in the Mahila Morcha. She was living with husband Rajendra Pandey (57 years). Rajendra is also a leader of BJP. He is also very close to a former minister. He has two daughters and both are married.
The elder daughter lives in Bangalore, while the younger daughter’s husband is a sports teacher with the Sports Authority of India. Rajendra sat down to drink alcohol from nine o’clock.
At the same time his younger daughter Preeti and son-in-law Pawan came home. During this, he started arguing by abusing. When the daughter said that she would call Nana, Rajendra went out, came back after some time and from the room with his licensed 12 bore gun, he fired one shot in the air and the second bullet hit his wife, who hit him in the waist. Went.
After this Sheela Pandey’s son-in-law and daughter closed the door. Even after that the accused tried to break open the door. Later, Sheela Pandey’s daughter called the SI of Ratibad police station and informed about the incident. When the police reached the spot, the accused fled after the incident.
Neighbors told that due to the antics of Rajendra Pandey, the people around were also upset. He often threatened by firing in the air with his gun. When he fired on Monday, they thought he must have been drunk as usual, but when they heard screams and noises, people came out of the house. During this, the accused escaped.
