MP: Class 4 students brutally attack classmate with compass 108 times during fight at Indore School

Indore: Bullying takes things to another level even at primary schools in Indore, as three boys studying in Class 4 picked up their geometry compass and attacked another classmate over 108 times, making him bleed and undergo with extreme pain. The Class 4 student was simply attending the school as a regular day but the two boys are known to be notorious and trouble- makers.

Parents of the victim student took brutal attack pictures and videos of the child suffering from serious injuries and lodged a complaint with the school authorities.

According to the official, the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) has taken cognizance of the incident and requested a police investigation report. CWC Chairperson Pallavi Porwal stated that on November 24, during a conflict at the private school under the Aerodrome police station’s jurisdiction, the student was allegedly attacked 108 times with a geometry compass by his classmates.

“The case is shocking. We have sought an detailed investigation report from the police to find out the exact reason for the violent behaviour of children of such a young age,” she quoted as saying by sources. She further added, the CWC committee suggested to counsel children and their families in connection with the incident and find out whether the children play video games that contain violent scenes.

The victim’s father alleged that his son had sustained severe scares in the attack. He also made allegations that the school management was not providing him the CCTV footage of the classroom. “My son narrated the ordeal when he returned home. I still do not know why he was treated so violently by his classmates. CCTV cameras are also installed at the school but the school management did not take any action. My son was attacked 108 times. More than 150 wound marks were present on his body,” he said.

Following the victim’s father complaint, an FIR has been registered in the matter at the Aerodrome police station. Assistant Commissioner of Police Vivek Singh Chauhan said the victim underwent a medical examination after the complaint was lodged. He further said appropriate steps are being taken as per the legal provisions.
