Jailed senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment by the MP-MLA Court on Thursday in the Dungarpur case. Along with this, the court has also imposed a fine of Rs 14 lakh. The court had found Azam Khan guilty yesterday.

Along with this, the court has also imposed a fine of Rs 14 lakh. The court had found Azam Khan guilty yesterday. Azam Khan was accused of forcibly vacating Dungarpur colony, assault, vandalism, looting and intimidation. The matter is of 6 December 2016. A case was registered against Azam Khan in this matter in 2019. The hearing of the case was going on in the MP-MLA Session Court of Rampur.
Government lawyer Shiv Prakash Pandey said that ‘In the case of forcibly vacating the house and demolishing it, the special MP-MLA court of Rampur has sentenced SP leader Azam Khan to 10 rupees fine. Sentenced to one year imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 14 lakh.
