Rewa: A kutcha house collapsed due to heavy rains on Sunday morning in Baheri Ghuchiyari village of Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh. 4 people died and 1 injured person was injured due to the collapse of the house. Due to heavy rains, the people of Baheri Ghuchiyari village were in their homes on Sunday morning. Meanwhile, suddenly a loud voice was heard. When people came out of the houses, they saw that a kutcha house had collapsed. The villagers immediately started the rescue work.

Since the rain was very heavy and there was no road leading to the village, administrative help could not be received immediately. As soon as the information was received, Collector Ilayaraja reached the spot and took stock of the rescue work.

Heavy rain in Rewa for three days

It has been raining heavily in Rewa for the last three days. The rivers and streams are in spate. 12 gates of Bakia Barrage of Satna district have been opened, which has a direct impact on Rewa. Due to this the water level in the lowlands has increased.

In Madhya Pradesh, an alert of very heavy rain has been issued in more than 13 districts. The highest rainfall of 148 mm was received in Sheopur district. Rainfall in the state has been recorded 4% more than normal. The 13 districts where the Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding heavy to heavy rains include Katni, Mandla, Balaghat, Panna, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Niwari, Neemuch and Mandsaur districts of Rewa, Shahdol and Gwalior-Chambal divisions.

According to the Meteorological Department, the districts of Jabalpur, Shahdol, Sagar, Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Ujjain and Indore divisions may receive thunderstorms. On the other hand, there are still 19 districts where there is less rainfall than normal.

Below normal rainfall in these districts

Anuppur 18%, Balaghat 14%, Damoh 3%, Jabalpur 17%, Katni 13%, Panna 31%, Sagar 8%, Seoni 12%, Tikamgarh 22%, Barwani 29%, Burhanpur 17%, Dhar 26%, Harda 9, Hoshangabad 6%, Indore 22%, Jhabua 3%, Khargone 30%, Morena 18% rain was below normal.
